I am making a DIY skimmer. I am having trouble finding material to make the gaskets out of. What can I use to make the gaskets, and where can I find the material.
If you are looking specifically for neopene, try a dive shop. They sell square pieces used for patches for wetsuits.
Did you try your local plumbing supply?? They will have a wide range of sizes, and more than likely will have one you need. Give it a try if you havent already.
I don't think neoprene would seal well as water slowly passes through it. Try rubber or if the seal is permanent use silicone. What are you trying to seal. A good hardware store would have hundreds of rubber O-rings for various sizes. In a pinch an old inner-tube can be cut to size as well.
