I currently have a 40 gallon tank that I bought from a former reefer about 4 years ago. I currently have set the tank back up and have been much more successful this time around due to boards such as this one. Thanks for all the help with my dumb questions that I come up with.
My current lighting is 1-95 Watt Hamilton 50/50 and 1-95 Watt Hamilton 100% Actinic ran on a Sunseeker VHO Ballast. (Not exactly sure on the endcaps though) But this is all enclosed in a custom canopy with a 4" fan which is not currently being used due to the cold weather here in California.
So I wanted to add a one of the two to get some moonlighting
1) Add a 96 watt PC from ahsupply.com with a dark blue or medium blue and make the both VHO's 50/50. Also, whats the preferences on the med or dark blue lights?
OR
2) Add a Metal halide to the canopy and make the VHO's both actnic. If so, any recommendations on suppliers?
Currently the tank holds a colt coral, a green closed brain, some mushrooms, a hammer, a torch, a purple tang, and a fire clown.
