Had mine a little over two mos in my 56 gal. Feed twice a day, variety of foods. Eats like a champ, very easy going and just plain beautiful fish.

I've had mine for 14 months. He's a Xenia muncher, but leaves other stuff alone.

55 gallon tank, coral beauty was my first fish in it.

I feed about twice per week..the fish graze on algae/pods and they're fat and sassy!

75 gallon tank...third fish added after two firefish, and he's been in there for 7 months now. No corals have been nipped at all. Eats flakes, brine, bloodworms, and algae.

Peace,

Chip

Grandczar:

>How long have you had?
6 years

>Which corals if any got nipped?
Open brains (though he/she was far from worst of angels). Has never bothered anything else.

>How often do you feed?
At least once a day, sometimes twice: mysis formula 1 and 2, and spirulina flakes are primary foods.

>What size tank?
360

I've had one in a 70 for 6 or 7 months. He has only picked at an open brain. I feed mostly Formula One 2-3 times daily.

Have had mine in a 72g reef for 6 months. I have not seen it pick at any corals, but open brain is not doing well

The CB like most of the dwarf angels IME, may pick at your corals. Clearly it depends on the individual fish but in general angels are best left out of coral reef tanks.

Yes, most angels will inevitably munch something. My coral beauty had a fancy for anything she could close up, like the polyps on the pagoda, it was a bit of a game with her. (72g tank - I think a huge tank diminishes the impact of any lone dwarf, aside from clams and open brains..)

He was in my 80gal for 2 years.
He is now in my new 180gal for 4 months.

I have never seen him/her touch a coral but he does eat algae off of the glass and rock.

Feed twice a day. Different flake foods.

2+ years
green open brain
1x per day, plus - prime reef, formula 1 and 2, special forumla VHP, special angel formula, live brine, etc.
29 gal. - other fish= ocillaris, royal gramma

IMHO, definitely think long and hard before putting a CB in with corals. Think about what it would take to tear down the reef to get at it, if/when it takes a liking to a coral, esp. one you've had a long time.

rw

Had mine for 7 months

Mine nips xenia elongata occasionally, usually when I haven't been feeding heavy.

I feed once a day, sometimes less

How can I get this guy out of my tank? I think he's been eating my green star polyps. He's VERY elusive...

Have had one for 3 years in a 120G, now in a 300G tank. Gets along well with all our other fish, eats everything we put in the tank--spirulina, vibragro, brine shrimp--has never bothered any corals as far as we know.
