KrakenSeas-Sorry that is a old pic about 6 months old. All the Pink polyps were eaten by something in my tank, probally a crab. I've been trying to find it but have been unsuccessful. I'm going on another surf trip next week and will stop by my friend's marine wholesale place and see if he has any in stock.
ckeadle-The pics were taken with my Nikon 990 and some with a Sony F95.
This is my favorite pic and was taken a while back with the Sony.
I love it when yall post all of your pictures. They are all beautiful!! It makes me remember how new my tank is and cannot wait until it is ready to add some of the cool things that yall have.
Dave, I went to your site and Kammie is a cutie
Looks like you have about every animal possible, what a great atmosphere to raise a kiddo in
Thanks! I'm a proud father of many children, although only one (so far) will walk upright on two legs and not have an overabundance of fur or feathers.
Check back every once in a while, a friend did the initial Kammie site, and I'll be adding a bunch of pictures down the line (babies change daily, so she doesn't even look like the ones on the net anymore and she's only 5 months old!).
tanzy, right you are on all accounts.
jdeets, i have had the flowerpot since april 2000. it is about 6" in diamater and sits on the top shelf of my reef. it has been growing well under PC's and VHO's all this time, but just recently I added a 10K ushio MH. I consider myself extremely lucky to have this species doing well in my tank. I feed DT's twice a week and try to maintain pristine H2O conditions. these are my first attempt at pictures with my friend's coolpix 990. I have this image available as 1024 x 768 pixels for a desktop wellpaper if you're interested.
Nice goniopora. Mine came on a piece of LR, so that makes it the first coral I have! Free too. That was 2 and a half years ago. Recently, the dreaded receeding disease struck. It's dieing. This isn't the first time it's dieing though. Like third or fourth. The good thing is that when it receeds, it leaves a couple of polyps behind that are alive. They will pop out a few weeks later and grow into new stands of goniopora.
No matter how pristine the water or whether you feed it, the inevitable happens.
Pls do not take offense but that scolymia looks like one deflated tire! Firestone? I won't be gettin one. Maybe you should send it back to the factory and get a refund for defective goods.
