Prizm How?

I Have purchased the Red Sea Prizm and used it for 3 months. I have the value open almost 100% for water intake. But, I still cant get any good result in skimming. I have run it for 3 months I can only get maybe 3mm of skimmates in the collector cup. The gunk seems to stuck on the neck of the cup and it does not spill any over to the cup. I am wondering it I have setup correctly. or is it just a ****ty skimmer?

PS. I have it running on a 20G tank with 2 fishes, 1 bubble coral, 1 brain, 4 giant clams, 2 grape and 25 lbs of LRs...

It may also be that after three months you have reduced your dissolved organics to such a level that the skimmer doesn't have to work as hard anymore?

I've had mine for over 6 months, and I find the same thing as you. I get a bit of skimmate about 1/3 of a cup per week. The other suggestion is good though, make sure you clean the unit thoroughly once or twice a month.

These skimmers must be taken apart and completley cleaned on a regular basis, at lease every month. Check the inlet pipe, the strainer usually gets clogged and needs to be removed and cleaned every couple of weeks. I found that to be a large part of the problem with skimming slowing down on my system.

is your airline clear?...do you have it on the open or closed hose barb?, i also find i have to reprime mine evry week or so
