Can someone tell me how to rid my 110 gal. reef tank of these very small, whitish snails with brown stripes? It seems that they are eating the purple algae off of my rocks, and they are getting BIGGER every day.
They come out mostly in the evening and are everywhere!! There must be literally hundreds all over my tank. I thought they were cute at first, but now I see they are distroying my purple algae. Is there a product I can buy to kill them w/o killing my other inverts? Is there a fish I can get that will eat them?
PLEASE HELP!null

Are they shaped similar to a margarita snail only much smaller? If so then I may have had a massive infestation of them as well a few years back. They came in on a piece of live rock, proliferated until there were literally hundreds of them, and then all died out. I haven't seen one in at least two years. I wouldn't worry about them too much. Keep an eye on your corals, inverts, etc., just in case.
