Most nudis are obligate feeders, meaning they only eat ONE thing. And so it is with the Berghia. Once your aiptasia is gone, the Berghia needs a new home with aiptasia or it will die. I've read of people who get attached to their Berghia nudis and don't want to get rid of them, so they actually cultivate aiptasia in a holding tank and switch out clean rocks for rocks covered with aiptasia, so they can keep their nudis.
Anyway, most nudis are obligate feeders and shouldn't be purchased unless you know exactly what they eat and can provide it to them.
I actually have a nudi in my tank that came in on some LR. I've identified it and have determined that it is a sponge eater. I'm hoping the scypha sponges will multiply enough to keep him going, otherwise it's just a matter of time before he runs out of food.
