I have had a Maroon Gold Stripped Clownfish for some time (since it was a juvenille) and now it is 3+ inches. I had the curious idea of trying to introduce it to another maroon gold stripped and found a small juvenille < 1/2" in size. I setup a small acrylic tank inside my reef tank to keep the two seperated and to get use to each other. Its been a couple of days now and the larger clownfish pays absolutely no attention to the smaller one, how long should I keep them seperated?

Thanks

according to joyce wilkerson in the book clownfish if you use egg crate the lighting material in office buildings as a cage for the juv. (make sure it is big enough for him to swim through) then it will allow them to be in close proximity of each other. if he gets afraid he will swim back to his cage. I don't know eactly how to set this up but i would imagine just setting up a retaining wall allowing just the juv. to swim through it. I recomend either purchasing the book or getting it from someone cause maroons are so different from any other clown. good luck here is a picture of the book.
