O.K. for all of you out there that looked at the last poll "cold water reef", we couldn't get up and running to the public for a few months as everthing is setup for public aquariums, so there is a little time.
what we're kind of intersted in is
1. is there interest?
2. if we have cheaper chillers-return to 1.
3. if everything was pictured/species descriptive/care and there was another supplier return to 1.
4. if everthing is easier to care for, return to 1.
5. If you are interested could I put you on a notification list, so when things get rolling we could send a one time little "hello, we're up this is where we are" (never to bother you again
and kept in STRICT confidence?)

a little info

you don't need expensive lights
you do need a chiller
ro/di is not needed (doesn't hurt though)
cold tank doesn't use more power that a warm tank.
animals are colorful and def. not cryptic (wiggle your pinky in there! ever felt an octopus shake hands?)
there will be other suppliers.

thanks for your time.

I might be interested. What temp does the tank need to be kept at? Also does it need less circulation than a warm reef?

Im moving my 75 to my 500 in the next few months and will have a 75, stand and a chiller empty. Not sure if the chiller can pull down the temp enough. its a 1/5hp. With out Metal halide lighting over the tank it should be easier butt....

sure, there would definitely be interest in coldwater reefs. Re-publish wrobels book and you'll be all set with educating people. The only problem is... can you collect and sell all those sweet coldwater anemones? If you can't the whole thing won't hold together.

put me on the list.
