I use a standard siphon and suck on the end for a quick second. I never get any water in my mouth, have been doing it that way for years. I used to use a python hooked to the sink for my 75g planted tank, only cause I didn't have to keep emptying the damn bucket.

This one is too easy for sarcasm so i will let it go...

MOst people have powerheads blowing from every corner...Just take the siphon hose and hold it so the water goes in the hose. It will start the siphon in like three seconds. This works well if you want to measure how much your taking out too, so you know how much its going to take to fill...However those of you that suck...Thank You. Ok I blew it. I mean I. oh, damn. Just use the powerhead. And don't read into that one either. Sheez, is it me or you. hahahahah
