How much would you pay for 8x55w PC's?

Just a thought, you could get a dual PFO metal halide retro kit with the bulbs from marine depot for about 400 bucks. When it came time to replace the bulbs, it'll be way cheaper. 250 watt MH bulbs are about 75 bucks a piece and 55 watt pc bulbs are about 30 bucks a piece. 8x30=240 bucks and 75x2=150 bucks. The heat factor will be about the same but you'll get more intense lighting with the MH. Just an idea though to save you a good deal of money.

I know that you can build them cheaper online. That was not your original question. You asked how much you should offer. I have a LFS price, which is probally more like what the guy is wanting to sell them at. I know we all want to pay the least amount possible, but if you are going to buy them from a friend, give them a "fair" price...
