looks like its going to be a sweet piece to add. when u frag it can i purchase or trade for it? how did you get in contact with steve? does he have a site?
Steve Tyree is definitely the man when it comes to SPS corals. Had the pleasure of meeting him and having a very long discussion about SPS and reefs in general. His site is at http://www.dynamicecomorphology.com/
Sure REEF-ER when I get ready to frag it I'll
give ya a yell. It really looks better than the pic and once it adjusts to my tank it should be more purple. I think Steve is a gr8 guy he called me the night before and we talked a few minutes. He sent it FedEx and said I should get it by 3pm the next day and I got it at 10am.
Nice frag!! My 120 and 180 sps tanks are chock full of corals from him. He is the best when it comes to sps corals and so willing to talk if I have a problem or to order some more corals. He takes the time to help me with what he has in and what looks good.
Hey Sue, I found him through your web site. I have a yellow cup turbinaria that bleached some and algae covered the bleached area, but still has areas that are live and asked him what I should do with it. It has been like this for a month or two. I have it high in the water column under 2x250 MH 10K's. I don't know if I should frag the good pieces or leave it and hope it spreads back across. There's a pic of it on my site.
Acropora Tortuosa ? And yes the pic doesn't do it justice. Also, I started it off at the bottom of my 90 with 2x250 10K MH and will raise it to the top over the next couple of weeks, and I expect it to be almost a solid purple.
