I have an icecap 660 and (2) 175 W MH ballast sitting right next to my TV. No interference. all of my tank equipment is on (2) dedicated 20 amp circuits. If your ballasts are plugged into the same circuit as your TV, you'll probably get some interference. But I'm just guessing cause mine have always been on dedicated circuits.

Let hear from others....

They are on there own circuits, and in the basement. I didn't know what was causing the static, but last week I had a ballast up stairs close to the tv. When I turned it on, the static was unreal. When the lights go off over the aquarium at 10pm the tv clears up. I've since heard of them interfering with x-10's. Antone know how to fix this problem?

I've heard that the 400W e-ballasts interfere with TV signals. I've got 175W e-ballasts on my MHs and don't have any interference, however. You might check with e-ballast e-tailers and see if they sell radio noise filters to address this problem. Good luck!

I have 2 400 watt Bluelines 18 feet from my TV. No problems at all. My sterio also works perfect. I have cable. Are using an antennae?

I tried the Radio Shack filter and it didn't help. So when the lights are on, I can't watch channels 2,3,4,5. That works until the weekend Jets or Giants games -then the lights get dark!
