I will be building a new home shortly. I am going to have my reef tank (125 or 150) built into the wall of my home office. Does anyone have any plans or a url to reference me to for plans and suggestions on how to do this? I will have a large sump in the basement along with ballasts,skimmer,etc.

any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

I am taking a slightly different approach. Although the tank will be set up in front of the wall like a typical set-up, I will attempt to make it look as if it is built in by:

1) Building out the ceiling above the tank (to conceal the lighting ballasts);

2) Adding vertical posts bewteen the floor and the ceiling at each corner of the tank. The posts will be notched to fit over the corner of the tank and the stand. The back posts will also fill the gap between the wall and the back of teh tank/stand;

3) Continuing the baseboard and the crown molding around the base of the stand and the new ceiling section, respectively.

I did not have the option of placing the tank behind/through the wall, so I tried to create the same illusion by making it look like the wall follows the perimeter of the tank. Another advantage is that I can also make side panels of the tank visible.
