Right now i have a 75G with a mag 750 as my return pump and three 1200 powerheads in the tank on a wavemaker power strip. My question is if i upgrade to a mag 950 and seaswirls how many do you think would take care of a medium current tank? One in the middle or one on each end,And should they be 1" or 3/4".

Or 1" for one in the middle or two 3/4" one for each corner of the tank.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve, IMO 2 - 1/2" models on each end is what I would use, this is what I used on my 58. I now have a 180 with 4 - 1/2" sea swirls as my only circulation and they are handling about 2000 GPH.

i would go with 2 3/4" seaswirls and one more mag 750 and you should be golden

i realize that's around $400, but probably well worth it

Steve,
I have a 75 with a mag12 teed off to refugium and to a 3/4 Seaswirl at one end of tank.
I also have 3 mj1200s on a tsunami wavemaker.. But if I could I would add a 2nd 3/4 seaswirl and remove more powerheads.

I'm setting up a new 75 with two 3/4" Sea Swirls, one on each side pointing inward. I bought them directly from Sea Swirl because there was a batch of them with bad motors a few months ago (there was a post on this bulletin board about it) and my ex-LFS could not tell me whether theirs were part of the batch.
