Wow, we just had 10-12 snowstorm last Friday and your out shopping for an AC.

Marc,

How do you find the time to get all your projects done? I remember following your upgrade thread and being awed that it was done so quickly. I have a few projects I want to get done but can never find the time.

I read this on your website
Since a GCFI can trip (and that includes even a nuisance trip), I don't want it shutting down the tank. Everything plugged in the top unit is something that might possibly hurt me, like the heaters or my accidentally pulling the light rack into the water. I want the breaker to trip and save my life.

This issue comes up quiet heatedly every once in awhile.

Being self-employed helps, but I do tend to let the hobby get ahead of other duties sometimes. Like sleep. :sleepy:

You guys have all that snow, something I love and rarely see here. We get maybe 2 days of snow a year, and it isn't worth much as we may get an inch or two here. Growing up in Switzerland, I saw it much more and loved it.

Btw, years and years ago I read a great book called Blizzard. The story takes place in New York, and it was such a good read, I could hardly put it down.

I recently posted pictures of my woodwork project on Reef Central. (gasp!) Yes, woodwork. :D

It too is a work in progress.

Yes, it does. The debate is based on assumptions more than facts, or there would be no debate at all. I'm doing what makes sense for me.

And that is another project that I'm working on mentally at the moment. I need to make a new power center, and am trying to figure out what will work best for the fishroom and my goals.

Mark, very nice woodwork. Are you done with it yet?

I was wondering, are the front panels of your columns permanently attached? If not, some magnet latches would be cool. Then you can use the 'shelves' on the inside. I just hate to waste space.

Did you finish the hood gliding system? I'm curious what the outcome of that is.

Everything looks very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed project.

No, that is what I'm currently trying to decide upon before I proceed. I'd like to make the top functional.

The columns will have covers, but they will be removable for access. I doubt I'll store stuff in them as they would be humid inside.

Hi guys. I can't believe I've not posted in this thread since March of last year! I'm so embarrassed, but as you know I stay busy. Speaking of busy, Evan and I just cranked out Episode 26 of Reefcast, so now's your opportunity to enjoy a fresh episode. It's a big download since the show is 2 hours 6 minutes long, but we hope you'll hang on our every word. :D

Nothing too exciting that I can think of at the moment. As you can imagine, I'm busy editing the next issue of Reefkeeping Magazine which is due out in a few days.

Oh, and here's a fun picture from the Denver Downtown Aquarium. :biglaugh:

In April, I'll be at MAX - www.marineaquariumexpo.com - so I'll get to visit a few LFS on the West Coast at last. I want to see for my own eyes about all these amazing corals they supposedly have that are never shipped past the Cali border. ;)

Will I see any of you at MACNA this September? www.macnaxx.com

Ha, you have your own port of entry so you can't say Cali filters your coral  And yes Marc, every time you post this I will find it  See you in Socal really soon and remember to leave your camera at home when visiting Ali's store....no pics is the rule, even for MODS/ADMINS and Editors :)
