Another sad story......

Well, I woke up to find my 2 1/2 yr. old True Perc (aka: Fatty)as a fish raisin behind my stand this morning.

I guess he got startled by something and jumped out the back of my canopy.

He was in his "bed" (he slept on top of a powerhead at night)after lights out when I checked right before I went to sleep. I had this guy since 1/00 and he had survived a move, the Ft Worth Tornado, an electricution incident, and all other mishaps that have happened.

He was about 2" long and about 1/2" wide. He was definately well fed!! He'll be missed.

Sorry about the ramblings, but needed to share.

Sorry to hear, Kurt. I think I probably should put some fine netting in the back of my canopy based on all the recent posts concerning this topic...

James- Everything else is tip-top. The fans work almost too good. I had to drop my heater back in the other night. I have my new hood together w/ everything on timers the fans, 250w MH and flourescents running 78F-80F. I ended up getting some B-ionic and I've just about got my calc back up. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear about the clown. I have a pair, Mr and Mrs Ocellaris ( not too original but it will do ) I am very attached to them. They are my first fishies!

I really like the ridiculous way they waddle thru the water and that confounded look on their faces.
Your perc will be truely missed.

Sorry to hear it, same thing happened to me a couple months ago with my true perc. I had mine only a couple of months though. Beautiful fish with thick black bands surrounding the white, rarely see them around here like that. I wouldn't think a fish that seems to struggle to swim, would be able to attempt a feat like carpet surfing.

Sorry to hear it, I had a 5 yr old Maroon clown that didn't survive the last move. I know how you feel.
