911 Help! algae invasion

My 80g tank is 8 weeks matured with LR, LS and good skimmer (berlin system). 2 clowns, 20 red leg and blue leg hermits, 15 turbos, 8 small size soft corals. All tests show good water quality. RO water change, 5% every week. Dosing with Seachem 'Reef Complete' and Reef Vital DNA. I am feeding the fish very sparingly every other day.
Problem: Over the last 4 days, I have noticed a growth of small brown dust like particles floating on the water surface. Today the whole surface was covered with this algae type particles. I have manually scooped most away but fear the growth will return with vigour. Help!

Typical diatom bloom for a tank as new as yours. Keep scraping the glass, doing waterchanges periodically, plenty of snails, etc, and it'll pass in a couple weeks. We all went thru it...

Shane, thanks very much for your comments. It is very reassuring to read your words. I appreciate your time. It can feel very lonely out here in England where we tend to still be in the back woods when it comes to reef technology. If anyone else out there has any advice on this problem, I would be very grateful to receive your comments.

My tank is 3 and a half months old and in the last 2 weeks has this reddy brown algae growing on the bed. Everyday I take it out (maybe a looney size) several spots. The next day more grows???what is this? Checked my water and everything is 100%

RED YOU DONT WANT IT MEANS YOU HAVE TOO MUCH PHOS IN THE TANK DO MORE WATER CHANGE AND CHECK YOUR LIGHTING YOU MIGHT HAVE YOUR LIGHTS ON TOO MUCH RED IS CALLED (RED SLIME ALAGE NOT GOOD)MY LIGHTS ARE 16HRS A DAY ON AT 10AM EST AND OFF AT 1AM
