Due to the shape of my new corner bow (triangle), it is extremeley hard to get water flow in all areas of the tank. Anyone experienced with this type of tank? The only place that power heads will stick is on the angled pieces of glass and then the water only flows to the front of the tank, not across like I would like for it to. Also I have noticed large dead spots in the front two corners. I am running a Senn 950 return, 2 power sweep power heads, and one hagen 402. Still there are many dead spots. Also this is an odd shaped tank to try to build a reef structure in as it is very deep from front to back and once again the angled sides prevent proper building. Beautifl tank but so far it has many drawbacks as a reef. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought the same tank last week. I am using the Oceanic stand because it was abit higher than the AGA. What sump are you using? Did you get the corner overflows? How did you decide on the SEN 950? for return? It seems to me that you should have enough circulation with the powerheads that you have in. As far as positioning them, I have seen several ideas for directing flow. 1. make a hangon powerhead holder custom designed for the corner areas (use acrylic). 2. connect vinyl tubing to your powerheads and run the output wherever you want (behind LR directed out to the front glass). 3. "Y" your return and create spray bars that run along each of the sides. That is just a few suggestions that I have been thinking of. This will be my 3rd reef set up (120g Oceanic RR, 37g Oceanic show) so I want to take my time setting it up and doing it right. Let me know how you work things out.

I heard from another board that the AGA company had one set up at MACNA and they set their LR in a pyramid fashion with the apex in the back corner.

The pyramid shape is about the only shape I have been able to build. I am assuming that either I dont have enouth "shelf" type rock or that I need some more base rock. I have been unhappy with the structures that I have built to far. It is amazing to me that LFS's can just throw thier rock in a tank and it looks awesome and I spend hours aquascaping and am yet happy with a design I have done. Would anyone like to come aquascape my tank for me?
