I want a hg skimmer and i don't want to make the same mistake that i did with the first one. I don't want to be happy with the third one i buy.. I need some good advice What you guys think of the Remora pro, Red sea turbo hang-on. Thank you for your help.

I would strongly suggest you get a 125 with built-in overflows and use a sump with an in-sump skimmer i.e. Aqua C EV-120 or EV-180. A Remora Pro with a MAG pump will work okay, but it doesn't compare to the bigger EV-s

I would avoid Red Sea Skimmers period.

Thank you Tom.

Do you know if the Remora is noisy and does it make a lot of bubbles when the water return in the tank?

I have the remora pro and IMO/IME it cant handle my 75. I also have a turbo flotor multi 1000 and IMO this is a better skimmer. I believe the Aqua Medic skimmer is better because it has a larger reaction chamber and better contact time then the remora pro. I use the remora por on a 40 tall and the turbo on my 75. To compair I switched these skimmer and I had a noticible difference in water quality on my 75, when using the remora on it. Even after cleaning the skimmer injection nozzle.

For a 125 you are going to be displeased with any HOT skimmer. Get a reef ready and go with either a bullet, myreef, ETS, or Euro-reef skimmer, these are the type you should invest in to only have to invest once.
