It sounds like they are both eating so I wouldn't worry much. You might want to make sure your frozen mix includes algae and some type of angel formula.

Since you have seen them grazing they might also be eating the food you feed, you just aren't seeing it. They may just still be shy. My Flame Angel has been in my tank over a year and it still hides at feeding time, but I can go to the side of the tank and look behind the rocks and see it feeding as the food is blown around. Guess he just likes to eat alone

In the past two weeks I have introduced a Sailfin Tang & a Coral Beauty Angel into my 135g system.


I have never had a problem with fish taking food, except for these guys. They will not eat any of the frozen preparations, pellets, dried krill, or even live brine shrimp. The Tang finally started nibbling on nori aswell as grazing on the algae within the tank. The Angel seems to graze on the live rock, but I am not sure if that is sufficient food. Should I be concerned? Any helpful hints on stimulating their appetite? Thanks.
