I have a torch c. for first time (2 healthy lobes). It started great in my tank, then one day I've noticed some long brown slime released.I though,it will parish (since I had to cut off 3 dieing lobes and leave the 2 good ones).
However, after 3-4 days is doing very well.

My question (and though) is:
- Is the slime just the detritus of the coral?

Can someone who has one, confirm this?
I also seldomly feed it.
Thanks.

Clearblue303, ColdenCanada makes a good point. If this is a new coral and you haven't fed it, it is probably adjusting to the new lighting condition. As long as it is fully expanding it's doing well and if it doesn't then it's not happy where it is.
You should feed it once in awhile. All of mine seem to appreciate a free meal
