I mounted mine in my laundry room. That way it was out of the way, I can run the waste into the washing machine drain, and can take the waste line out to fill up my water pitcher. It is also easy to get to when I need to change any of the filters. Another advantage of mounting it in the laundry room, is I used a Y adapter, with valves on both outputs, from the cold water lead to the washing machine. One to the washing machine, always on. And one to the RO/DI which I turn on and off as needed. Total cost at Home Depot for the Y adapter with 2 on/off valves = $1.49

I have mine in the basement next to the washer and dryer. I run the makeup water line directly upstairs dripping in my sump for evaporation. Its nice not having to worry about spills, etc.

Mine is in the kitchen on the counter, no, wait I moved it to the wire bakers rack.

As I don't own my apartment, I am not going to install it permanently anywhere. It usually lives in the stand for my 100 gal.

Don't you think that this is a bit personal... Where and when I mount my RO/DI is no business of yours

Jawbone,

You are completely right!! That is very personal.

Thank goodness this is the web and we will probably never meet, so we can get into all of this good stuff.

As for me, mine is in the basement above the slop sink. Very exciting!!

Garage next to the utility sink. Only problem is when it gets below freezing out there I have to run the unit continuously.

Jawbone: You are a sick puppy, man. Hilarious!

This kind of talk in the main board! The shame of it!

I mount mine wherever I get the urge. The most recent mounting was in the basement in the slop sink.

That reminds me - bet the basement floor is wet again...

You know, size isn't everything. I think perseverence and time are the most important things. Mine is 24 gpd.

Personally I prefer a large one.

Just old fashioned I guess. Mine is 75gpd, and I've only mounted it once. It sprayed me right in the face and I haven't tried remounting it since.

You'd probably enjoy it, since you're more athletic than me.

I put one of those extension things on there, and when I turned it on, the thing was chasing me around the room like a garden hose gone mad, spraying everywhere. What a mess.

I ignored this topic for a week. Seemed like such a boring topic. But after the post lasted a week and got 12 replies...I had to look.

lmao!!!

You guys and gals are hysterical. "prefer a large one" and "sprayed my face". hahahahaha

But anyway. Mine is a 100GPD. It doesn't "put out" that much. More like 30GPD. Does anyones "put out" it's rated capacity.

If you'd like, perhaps Em or I could try to get it fully operational.
