After knocking about my clams in the 72g, and having to remove them, I almost included my Kole in my reef upgrade to the 155g this weekend.

The very night before, we watched him hit every single snail and knock them flying from the rock. I decided I did not in any way want this behemoth in my new setup.

He stayed where he was...has some new tank mates (FOWLR)..

Was my Homer just a Simpson ???

My Kole does pick on the snails sometime, He is getting the bits of alage that are forming on them. He rarly kocks thme down. He does the same to me hermits. He has only been housed in FOWLR I am sure he would pick at the clam shell to.

My kole has been in my tank for 6 months. Although he constantly picks algea off of rocks, snails, clam, and other corals, they don't seem to be bothered by it. My worry is he has not ate anything that I fed him. He got all his food from algea in the tank.

Kitta, try some of those OSI stick on spirulina tabs, for one. They can't seem to resist those. Perhaps then he will start to take some spirulina flake. Mine eats almost everything.

I think I will leave him FOWLR.

Our Kole eats about anything out of my hand. He is an excellent grazer and has been no problem whatsoever.
