QUESTIONS ON RO/DI UNITS...

I have a 90gal. Reef that I'm setting up now.(SPS)
Got a chance to pick up one of these units-
(SpectraPure)..
Are these good units & what are some key things
I need to look for....
I think all filters have to be replaced...
The "Membrane" can be expensive I believe to replace....
There are 2 different ones to look at from what I've seen (CSP SERIES & MPDI, the latter being the least expensive)not as good cartridges etc..
Any info. would be appreciated!!

I have used the MPDI-80 spectrapure unit for a couple years. It has worked great. The units remove all the things we want them to remove - phospates, nitrate, silicates... You've got a good product. No "easy" way to determine when to change cartridges ( except on the color changing DI units) - depends on your water / and the amount you use...
