Where is a good place to buy corals close to San Diego or LA

I am interested in looking at more display tanks and buying some new corals and critters. I have been to the Aquatic Warehouse and The Octopuss Garden here in Sand Diego but want to look at others. If you have a favorite place with a couple hours drive of San Diego let me know. I would even make the drive just to look and learn.

I've heard nothing but good things about Jeff's Exotic Fish in the L.A. area. Look it up and get directions. I'm taking a week leave and coming home just so I can go there.

Orange County:
Lake Forest: Pet Town, 5 Fwy at El Toro Rd
Fountain Valley: Tong's, 405 Fwy @ Magnolia

Both of these are good lfs with nice displays, especially Tong's. Call them for exact location.

BTW, If you are traveling this Friday, check out Southern California Marine Aquarium Society (SCMAS). (See www.scmas.org for address & map) we meet the third Friday of every month at 7 PM in Santa Ana. Great Club!

Of course Jeff's Exotic in south LA county is always worth a visit.

Pet kingdon is ok, they are getting more stuff in now. Expanding their reef stuff. As far as fountains, I try not to buy much there. The service was crappy when I had a problem with a stand. Not to mention they are kinda pricey. They do have clean tanks though...

Try PetKingdom off Rosecrans by the I8 and I5
or Fountains Aquarium. Those two are good too...

Thanks for the info guys. I enjoyed Tongs and Jeffs was good too. I don't think I have seen a better display than the main tank at Jeffs Exotic Fish. I could have pulled up a chair for hours...
