i am going to be upgrading my tank from a 29 gallon to a 55 gallon, my question is, i already have 60lbs of live rock in the 29 gallon and i am going to order 45 more lbs. after the 45lbs cure in the 55 gallon tank, is it safe to add the other 60lbs and the livestock all at the same time? the 60lbs have been in the tank for a year and a half. the 55 gallon is going to have a dsb if that matters in this. if i cant do this, do you have any suggestiuons on what to do with my livestock? thanks for any help in advance.

As long as the new rock is fully cured, you shouldn't have much of a problem. This is really no different than moving a reef tank. You might experience some diatoms or other new tank "syndrome" effects, but the cycle should be complete (i.e., no ammonia). Nitrate might be a problem until the sand bed kicks in.
