can I put my crp bakpak skimmer in my sump its 20gallon tank. It is now on the main tank but I can't put the hood all the way back because it hits the protien skimmer. :roll:

I don't know why not if you have the room around the sump. You may have to lengthen the input tube to the powerhead as you water level in the sump will probably be significantly lower than in the main. My thoughts.

You can with some modification to the skimmer i.e. you'll need to put the pump in the bottom of your sump and come up with some way to attach a length of tubing from the pump to the skimmer's intake.

Just hanging on the side of your sump isn't going to work unless the water level in your sump is abnormally high.

What powerhead are you using to run you BakPak? - A Rio 600?Depending on how far down in the sump you put your powerhead, you may want to consider upgrading to either a Rio 800 or a Maxijet 1200.
