Looks great!! I love that hammer coral!! Whats it scientic name? do you know. I tried to look it up but its not under that name. Also what are those pink polyps, they look pretty cool too!

Hey Rich, I got this Torch coral from Tonga. It looks kinda like a cross between a torch and a hammer. Its sooooooo cool, bet your jelous.

You are correct. The pink polyps are zooanthids.

Arnt you worried about the pump intake by the anemone, IMO you should have a sponge on that thing the strainer isnt enough.


Have you ever tried using photoshop to take the pink out of your pictures. This would make them clearer.

Deo. Theres no blue on the fin. hes peachish Pink with almost a purplish head. No blue.

Thanks for the comments guys. The hammer I just got today. Its green/pink and doing nicely. I think its Euphyllia ancora. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Ben, The intake is very light and is covered in algae, Hes gone higher and right next to it and it doesnt suck it in. I was worried about it but am not anymore. He did get cought in a maxi jet a few times a year or so ago but healed totally from its wounds. It it were any other filter or ph, I would be worried...

I have one of those damsels in my Hospital tank and haven't been able to id it also... pinkish with a yellow cap and blue lines around the eyes... this little sucker is a devil.
Anyone else seen these guys?
