Ricordia (should it stay or go)

Just got a green "hairy mushroom" from a friend on a swap but then ID'd the shroom as a "Ricordia". Do I want this in my reef tank? Is it OK or should I consider it a nuisance that will spread like a weed or become an unwanted pest (ex. aptasia).

No....get rid of it!!!!! It is a terrible terrible WEED!!!!!!! DO NOT flush it down the toilet because it grows SO FAST that it will endanger our water ways!!!! I have the means to PROPERLY dispose of it so....box it up and send it to me IMMEDIATLY!!!!

Seriously....they are very desireable. You could only HOPE that it grew fast!

One of the most beautiful of the mushroom polyups. I have several color morphs in my tank :

grey with pink mouths
deep green w/flourescent green mouth
Blue w/green mouth

They grow very slow and are hard to propagate bu artificial means. but will accept food if placed on the polyups
