LN VHO lighting

Hey kids this is my first post here and it's a lighting question...Is anyone using the LN VHO setup that Premium aquatics sells? Do you like it?I'm upgrading my new 90 tall reef tank to VHO and i'm on a budget.Thanks

I use that ballast. I bought mine from hellolights.com for the same price. I use normal output(40 watt) bulbs with this setup and it works great.

Great news, I was wondering if I could use NO bulbs w/this setup.What are you using for a reflector?

Why would you use NO lamps if you have a VHO ballast? The difference in price for lamps in tiny. Is it the electric bill?
If you plan to use NO bulns you don't need to spend the extra $ for VHO ballast.

actually the diff. in price is substantial and the light output will be comparable to VHO bulbs they just wont last as long.

You could buy a reflector from lampsnow.com or I use a peice of sheet metal that I cut to size and polished multiple times with brasso metal polish.
