I'm going to do a thorough cleaning of my bakpak skimmer this week. The top 5 inches are covered in coraline. (Best way to remove this??)

Anyway, my bakpak has been a breeding fround for pods, small snails some worms and even a few featherdusters. Should I try to save these by draining as much into a brine shrimp net and putting into my tank, or will I get too much gunk??

Comments??

I also have a BakPak and have saved a few things from the "refugium"...I think a brine shrimp net would do nicely and I wouldn't worry too much about the gunk...That's probably what the pods have been feeding on, think of it as feeding the tank...

As for getting rid of the corraline algae, I used hot vinegar...

HTH,
Chuck
