When I woke up this morning I discovered that my spiny blue lobster had died. I appeared to be in the middle of molting when it passed. no physical damage was evident. So I ruled out the possibility of one of the fish jumping the lobster when it was in mid-molt. I do water changes every week 10% with IO. And I also add iodine from kent marine daily. The losbter had doubled it size in the 4 months that it lived in my tank. So what could have caused its death? Anyone have a similar experience?

Same thing happened to mine after a couple of months. I suspect the cause of death in my case was starvation because it rarely accepted any food from me.

My lobster ate like a pig every other day I feed it meaty foods like silversides, squid, and frozen sulry cubes. Plus it molted 5 times prior to its death. So I don't think that it was a lack of food that caused it to expire. Any other thoughts? Anyone?
