I just added another powerhead about 2 weeks ago, and by how it looks now, I would say another 2 weeks and it will be completely covered !!

I also believe one item people overlook with coraline growth is with lighting. People who use Iwasaki 6500K bulbs always report problems with coraline growth and if they do get any growth, it's a very pale pink color.

I used to use 10K bulbs in my setup and I switched over to 6500K 3 years ago and no more coraline growth and most of it has died back. This doesn't mean my tank is unhealthy, it just doesn't grow in my main display. It has no problem growing in my sump/refugium which it lit by (no surprise) a 10K bulb.

How about the people who run 20K Radium? How's the coraline growth in your main display?

When I ran VHO only back then, I got super pink/purple growth. After I changed to 6500, growth slowed.

The tank I have now is using 20,000K, no more pink/purple, but quite a bit of white, brown and some greens. I don't know what type of 20K MH bulb I have, though.
