I moved back from denver and SDG&E is killing me :evil:

My house Elec bill runs up to $200 in summers. However, last month we replaced our 25 years old furnace and central air to a newer efficient model, and last month only, our electricity has dropped to $110.

It is high enough that I took down my 150 reef with 1400W of light and now only run a 90 reef with 500W of light. I'm looking forward to a brief respite from the absurd rates this November when Gray Davis pulls out all the tricks in an effort to get re-elected.

For you SO. Cal reefers what size tank do you have and what do you have on it (lights,pumps.etc)? Just trying to find out what kinda damage it will do to my wallet when I set up my 300gal.

On my 135 I have 8 24" VHO's and 2 250w MH's
On my 65 I have 2 36" PC's
On the refugium I have 2 24" PC's 24/7

Pumps:

2 Velocity T4's
1 Velocity T3

I am also running a skimmer and 2 heaters(rarely needed) :wink:

100g w/ 1000watts of lighting and about 500watts of add'l items, pumps, heaters, etc.

i am lucky to be serviced by DWP and my monthly average is $100.

It costs me 45 or so to run the following. I moved and didn't set the tank up for a month so I could find out the cost of the tank

I was into the 130% over baseline bracket on the powerbill.

You guys in Ca. I thought paid soooo much $$$$$$$$$, but in reality you guys are getting off cheap.
