alright, I've posted about other corals that had issues (i'm a definite newbie) and have gotten everything looking good EXCEPT... two leather corals that I have that are not looking so great. They were kind of skin toned (brownish red) and have turned kind of gray over the last few days. My water is as follows
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
0 nitrate
1.025 specific gravity
440 calcium
9 alkalinity

I run 360 watt VHO's on 55 gallons.
Thanks ahead of time

Are these new additions, or have they been in for a while? If you have had them for some time, have they been disturbed lately?

they were the first corals I've added, they are about midway up the tank. I don't think anything is disturbing them as they aren't touching or within 5 inches of other corals. The closest corals to it are a hammer and some xenia. They've been in the tank for about 4 months or more.

What kind of water current are they at? Most leather prefer med current. Aim a good flow over them. Make sure the flow is not "directly" at them. Leather needs good currents around them to help carry away the film they sheds from time to time. The old film, if left on them, does appear gray/white.
