Ok about 15 months ago I set up my 92 gallon corner bow front. Stocked it a few months later, put in one baby clam(not sure on sp.) The little guy did well for about 3 months on the sand bed then one morning all that's left is two halves of the shell. Everything else is fine in the tank. About 3 weeks ago I end up getting another baby clam with a shipment of other variious corals. I tried him on the rock at first but he kept moving and falling over...so I put him on the sand as well(bad move). He does well for a 4-5 days and then deja vu...only the sell is left in the morning.
Over the last 15 months I have only lost about one leather, a beautiful patch of xenia that started out about the size of a finger, and 2 anthias. My water conditions have been great all this time, algae at a minimum, and a small bout of cyano.
I don't know what is taking these guys out. The only fish I have are a purple tang and a cinamon clown. There are some hermits, snails, a couple brittle stars, one mithrix crab, and one tiger cuc. I have stayed up late at night and have never seen any bristle worms. Any one got any ideas who the culprit is here?

hi.
Mithax crab and hermit crab can kill a sick clam easily. They just help you finish off something on its last leg.
