Here is my solution to Aiptasia control. I loaned my Copperband to my friend Teresa, whose tanks were HEAVILY infested. Two weeks later her tanks are Aiptasia free, and he is trained to eat them from your hand!!

Actually, I just might. I think I am going to setup a 10-gallon for Aiptasia farming to try training some baby Copperbands.....

Nice pictures. I have a few stray aptasia that are just getting bigger. I think the peppermints are finally taking care of all the small ones, but the larger ones are getting to be beasts. To bad I could never add a copperband as my Tang would probably not allow it. It is nice that you are sharing your little workhorse with others :)

Are these things obligate aiptasia feeders, or can they subsist on other foods after the aiptasia runs out?

I think the answer is yes, as it depends from individual to individual.
