Are 2 400's to much for my tank?

My tank is only 3' long, but my hood will be 30 deep, about a 1' tall. Will 2 400's be to much, or should I go with 250's?

Also, since my tank is short, what is a good replacement for a tang? I really wanted one, but I know my tank will be to small.... Don't need the police on my case... :twisted:

depends on what your keeping. do you want stony's like accopora? then go with the 400's, if not 250's are just fine. you might need to consider the heat build up though in your hood design.
