Question about Aptiasa

Well spelling is bad but i need to know if Pepperment Shrimp's will eat Aptiasa's Because i just found about 4 growning on my Brown Star Polyp and i can't do the Boiling water on that coral what about a blast of sea Cheme Calcium power think that might work. Please help me.

HI,

Peppermint shrimp are hit and miss when it comes to aptasia. I have had luck with mine but others don't. It seems they will go after the aptasia if there isn't anything more appealing to munch on.
It may be worth a try. I have heard some reports of pepermints going after some polyps and xenia though so you will want to watch for this.

Have you considered directly injecting the aptasia with a hypo needle?
I read that others have had luck doing this. I tried but couldn't get the needle into the stalk of the aptasia before it pulled back into the rocks.
