FW Top-Off: Should I pump 24/7 or at timed intervals?

I am setting up a FW top- off system from my RO/DI reservoir. I will be using a dosing pump (pulsafeeder) as I have to pump over 75 feet, 2 rooms away. As all who have used these pumps know...they are loud. Is it acceptable to only top-off while I'm at work, so I dont have to hear the pump while I'm home? I will be pumping approx 1.8 gallons/day in to a 60 gallon system. Is the sway in specific gravity going to be that big if I only pump for 10 hours a day as opposed to running it 24/7 at a slower rate? What is everybody else's top-off systems' schedule?

I would only run it 10 hours a day. 1.8 gallons over 10 hours is not that much.
