Feeding shrooms and growth rate?

Has anyone noticed if feeding the carnivorous ones (rhodactis, ricordia, etc) helps increase the growth rate? I ask this because I want to get some unusual colored ricordia and can only afford a polyp or two. Therefore, I was hoping for a way to accerate the colony. Most of the rhodactis I have had (blue tonga etc.) were not very fast spreading.

Feeding will definitely imcrease their growth rate.

I believe that they grow more quickly when fed. Mine seem to grow much more quickly. My protopalythoa grandis grows like mad when fed, and my LPS also.
