From what I've read here and my lfs has told me, Rio's appear to have some problems that can cause major problems in the tank. People have even had them blow up. My lfs reported that they have had a few that have supplied a shock to the workers and do not use them any longer. I would go for the maxi-jets (which I did) IHMO.

by two medium sized pumps 300 gal an hour or so and put them behind the rock at opposite ends of the tank, make shure there accessible for cleaning, buy a wave maker which will alternate which side is on and which side is off. basically you will get a back and forth current in youre tank, my fish and corals enjoy it very much.

i used 2" of agronite and 21/2" of sugar sized for my 120 tank for my seahorses. supposedly plants will really dig this substare mix. i would tell you definately but nobody has any sea grass.
