Both my beds of southdown haven't given me any problems. I don't have a lot of flow in my 120 gal. That bed has been setup for 1.5 years and has a couple of fish that disturb it on occasion(wrasse and tang). My 55 gal bed has more flow over it, but it does have a bit more live sand(crushed coral :roll: ) on top. This bed is only half a year old.
Both beds took about a week or so to settle and then I was careful with the final aquascaping.
