I care about the fish, but I won't get to attached to it that a can't bring myself to return it. The whole reason I ask the question is because I care about the fish.

then you should also be 'caring' about the unnecessary stress and trauma you are subjecting the fish to for your temporary short term enjoyment.

imho-this hobby, and the keeping of animals in general suffers from the 'rental' mentality abit too much-
whether you get attached to the fish is irrelevant,it is your lack of responsibility and commitment to an animal you voluntarily choose to take care of that concerns me... :roll:

has anyone else noticed the "attitude problem" of some of these people? does the word "raod rage, and gong opstal mean anything? maybe if your taking this stuff so serious , you should take a break for the site for a while and get outside, or at least watch our tank for a hwile and chill. as far as the queston he asked, don't you think the store owner is the right one to ask about trading on in? that would be my first thought. LOL.

monkeyboy, My tank is not to small for a 2" tang. A 6" and up maybe I dont know thats what I am asking. Just in case you did not get it the first time.

Most of the people that are telling you not to get the fish are doing it because they did it once too and don't want you to make the same mistake. If you're not willing to listen to their advice then why ask?? You're right your tank is not too small for a 2" tang, or for that matter a 6" baby shark or a 4" moray, but if you don't plan on keeping it it's entire lifespan you shouldn't keep it at all. I couldn't tell you exactly when it's too big for a 37 gal. tank...maybe when it makes more waste than your tank can handle and you find it dead.

Why dont you try a lemon peel angel, they are yellow and really cool fish,I have one in my bowfront and he's happy, he would do fine in a 37 gallon tank.
