1. How much room is necessary on the back of the tank to accommodate the Sea Swirl? I'm trying to figure out how far away from the wall I'll need to set the tank.

2. I will have an Oceanic 75g RR, which I believe has the return line coming out the overflow. If I were to purchase a Sea Swirl, could I tee off the return line so the return water goes to the included return line as well as the Sea Swirl? If not, how do I use the Sea Swirl?

3. Which model would you recommend for my 75g? The 3/4" model?

4. Would I need any other water motion (additional powerheads, wavemaker, etc.) for a mixed reef setup?

1) I think the different units are different sizes. Check the sea swirl website for details.
2) Sure you can tee the return. You do split the flow, so if you are ok with that, go for it. Otherwise you could put the sea swirl on a closed loop.
3) It really depends on the flow from your pump. The 3/4 should be good thought. If you are planning to upgrad the tank one day, you might want to think about the 1 inch.
4) Only if you want more flow. In my 150 I have two 1 inch sea swirls in the front corners. The flow seems fine but I added 2 closed loops in the bottom back corners of the tank to get some more flow behind the rockwork.

Good luck!

How exactly would I do a closed loop in my situation?

You would get another pump the run the closed loop with the ss and your return pump would run the return. Two seperate systmes.
Do a fourm search on closed loop and settle down to some good reading!
