I contacted my local Home Depot looknig for SouthDown sand. He checked every store along the East Coast and could not find it in stock. However, he said if I could find a store that had it in stock, he could transfer a pallet for about $100. That would end up costing me about $300 for 2,500 pounds of sand. So, can somebody post the address, store number, and/or phone number of a Home Depot that has a full pallet in stock. This would be greatly appreciated, as SD is hard to find in Dallas. I only need about 500 lbs but plan to sell the rest to DFWMAS members at cost. Now that I know how badly Carib Sea is ripping us off, I refuse to buy any more sand from them. Whatever you have on the HD store would be great.

Thanks.
Sam

Thanks, I will give them a call in the morning.

Maybe that's a better way to go. Can you guys post which HD you have bought SouthDown Sand at? If you happen to know they have it instock that would be great too.

Thanks,

Sam

HD at South Bay Shopping Center in Dorchester, MA has some SD left. Lots, in fact.

HD's are not the only places that carries this sand. YardRight Play Sand, which is also by Southdown and is the same thing as the HD stuff only packaged differently, can be found in some nurseries. It is a little more expensive at these places than HD, since they don't have the volume discount thing going, but you may be able to find a local source that way, I did. FWIW.
