Well those are much nicer than my hair algea. I have heard that you need a group of peppermints to do it. Not just one or two, they should get nice and fat.
Well that will be the last time we will see a beautiful filed of fuzz swaying to song. The brown grass like hair was a breathtaking site few mortal eyes have seen. ...
The right water return seal leaked and when I came into work that morning much was lost. 25gallons of seawater lay spread out in a circular pattern from the tank! I was able to rescue all but one of the fish. The leak was in such a nature that there was no choice but to totally drain the tank. Originally the tank had two overflows however when it was installed a Plexiglas plate was silicone over the holed. The hydraulic pressure over time popped the seal on the silicone and the tank started draining out on my system pumps and electrical systems. Thanks to the operation of a GPF outlet no severe damaged was caused but a total electrical shutdown of the system had happened. I have preserved the aptasia in my Rubbermaid reef in my basement but worry about the stability of this new system. I have totally torn down the 105g system and have plans to rework the plumbing, and return systems. I will be converting this system to a SPS system. I won't be moving the aptasia back to the tank as they have a job to do.. So this will be the last time I ever display an Icon of neglect.
After two days of teardown the cleanup of this system is complete. I hope it has brought a smile to your face has it sure has mine.
