Do a search on Kalk paste or Kalk slurry.

You mix some up, and put it on the gsp. It will stop or kill it outright in the area you cover with the Kalk paste.

To answer your questions about effects from/to other corals, my Euphelia keeps them from opening. The GSP have made my Euphelia much more aggressive. As for the hammer, mines too far away to affect so I can't say for certain, but I doubt it. My hammer does not seem aggressive, but YMMV. My GSP have covered several growths of M. digitalis, and I have to keep it pruned back from my leather or it will choke it off. I have a beautiful purple GSP with bright green centers so I really love it even if it is taking over. I can peel mine right off most areas if I need to.
