for my 90 gallon. Went with the special at Ocean Encounters 2x250x plus 2x24PC. Currently I am using 440w VHO. I am much brighter conditions.

I am a bit worried about the corals that I have in my tank already though. Mostly soft and LPS. Other than keeping the light higher at first and using shorter lighting periods at first, does anyone have any ideas on how to acclimate my coral (fish?) to the change in lighting. Anybody had success keeping these kinds as well as SPS under MH?

Also any recommendations on inexpensive fans that I can place in the back of my conopy to help with the additional heat? I've heard about clip ons at home depot. Which department would I find these in?

Thanks,
Jim

I just put the AquaSpaceLight on my tank (what you got). It did add quite a bit of heat to the tank - more than I expected since I was going from a more-or-less enclosed 2 x 175 mh setup to the much more open AquaSpaceLight. At WalMart, those clip on fans are in the automotive department (sold as dashboard fans). You'll need to get a cigarette lighter adapter (as they are made to plug directly inot the cigarette lighter, and I doubt you have one of those near your tank  ).

You can also get small fans from Radio Shack - but you'll have to buy a plug/cord, and something to mount the fan with.

I can get you some PC fans if you want. Will swap for any reef-related stuff as I am about to setup a tank and need everything! I have a few LARGE fans...12volt. You can wire them to a small pc powersupply (which I can also get you :) ) let me know: [email protected]
